Great restaurants and shopping are located nearby as well as the 20+ mile West Orange Trail, great for biking, walking and enjoying the outdoors! Ocoee is 20 miles from both Walt Disney World and Orlando International Airport. Board & Brush Ocoee is located on the corner of Old Winter Garden Road and Maguire Road, next to the trendy RusTeak wine bar and delicious Joe’s Pizza and across the street from West Orange Cinema!

SIP & PAINT AT OUR WOOD SIGN WORKSHOPS
At Board & Brush in Ocoee, we marry the joy of wine and paint with the classic timelessness of wooden signs. Our instructor-led DIY wood sign workshops allow you to combine your creativity and willingness to learn new skills. We provide you with the instruction, materials and design for you to distress, sand, stain, paint, and customize your personalized piece of art!
HOW IT WORKS
1. REGISTER FOR A WORKSHOP
View our calendar above to find a date and time that works best for you and your friends and family (the more, the merrier!). You can also look for a workshop that features the type of project you’d like to create, like a PYP or specialty project. Then, you’ll browse our gallery of hundreds of designs to choose which one you’d like to create in your upcoming workshop!
2. ARRIVE EARLY!
Our workshops start on time, so you’ll want to arrive early to get settled! You can start thinking about the endless creative possibilities ahead, take photos with friends, and enjoy your favorite beverage (some studios are BYOB, while others sell alcohol, please check with your local studio about their policies).
3. GET YOUR DIY ON!
At your paint and sip workshop, you’ll turn raw wood into a finished project fit for your home! You’ll be guided by our expert instructors throughout each step in the workshop - sanding, distressing, staining, painting your stencil, and waxing! You choose all your colors in person at the workshop! Our workshops are typically about 3 hours long.
4. DISPLAY YOUR NEW DÉCOR
When you leave our workshops, you’ll leave with a wood project that you’ll be proud to display in your home! We mean it when we say that no experience is necessary - our instructors are there to help turn you into a DIY expert. Now that your beautiful farmhouse-inspired project is complete, you’ll take it home to find the perfect spot to display it!

Meet Board & Brush Ocoee Owners
Susan & Scott Gunelius
Susan and Scott met in Brooklyn, NY in 1995 and spent the next decade working in Corporate America before moving with their triplets from New Jersey to Florida in 2005 for better weather.
Susan has a B.S. in Marketing, and M.B.A. in Management and Strategy and worked as a marketing manager for some of the largest companies in the world. After moving to Florida, she opened a marketing communications agency where she works with clients around the world. Susan owns an award-winning website for women in business and has written 12 books about marketing, business, and technology. Scott started his career in the U.S. Coast Guard where he got his initial introduction to information technology. When his service ended, he segued into government and corporate positions working in IT. Today, he manages the systems team at an international airport in Central Florida.
Susan’s first visit to a Board & Brush Studio happened in 2019 when she and her daughter attended a workshop at the Ocoee, Florida studio. She fell in love with the experience, and she and Scott officially joined the Board & Brush family when the opportunity to buy Board & Brush Ocoee arose in 2023. In their spare time, you can find Susan, Scott, and their triplets at Walt Disney World and enjoying all of the activities found in Central Florida.
