Norwell is a beautiful, quaint town located approximately 25 miles south of Boston and 29 miles north of Cape Cod. Nearby towns include Hingham, Hanover, Scituate, Pembroke, Marshfield, Cohasset, Rockland, and Weymouth. Norwell is unique with its proximity to many local golf courses including Hatherly, Cohasset & Marshfield, beaches on beautiful Cape Cod Bay, and Boston. In either direction, you are surrounded by history, from Plymouth Rock to the South to the Freedom Trail and many other historical landmarks to the North. You do not have to go far to find a local favorite, a delicious “cup of clam chowdah.” Board & Brush Norwell is also a short drive to Derby Street Shops in Hingham and the new Merchants Row Shops in Hanover.

SIP & PAINT AT OUR WOOD SIGN WORKSHOPS
At Board & Brush in Norwell, we marry the joy of wine and paint with the classic timelessness of wooden signs. Our instructor-led DIY wood sign workshops allow you to combine your creativity and willingness to learn new skills. We provide you with the instruction, materials and design for you to distress, sand, stain, paint, and customize your personalized piece of art!
HOW IT WORKS
1. REGISTER FOR A WORKSHOP
View our calendar above to find a date and time that works best for you and your friends and family (the more, the merrier!). You can also look for a workshop that features the type of project you’d like to create, like a PYP or specialty project. Then, you’ll browse our gallery of hundreds of designs to choose which one you’d like to create in your upcoming workshop!
2. ARRIVE EARLY!
Our workshops start on time, so you’ll want to arrive early to get settled! You can start thinking about the endless creative possibilities ahead, take photos with friends, and enjoy your favorite beverage (some studios are BYOB, while others sell alcohol, please check with your local studio about their policies).
3. GET YOUR DIY ON!
At your paint and sip workshop, you’ll turn raw wood into a finished project fit for your home! You’ll be guided by our expert instructors throughout each step in the workshop - sanding, distressing, staining, painting your stencil, and waxing! You choose all your colors in person at the workshop! Our workshops are typically about 3 hours long.
4. DISPLAY YOUR NEW DÉCOR
When you leave our workshops, you’ll leave with a wood project that you’ll be proud to display in your home! We mean it when we say that no experience is necessary - our instructors are there to help turn you into a DIY expert. Now that your beautiful farmhouse-inspired project is complete, you’ll take it home to find the perfect spot to display it!

Meet Board & Brush Norwell Owners
Melanie Gleeson & Coleen Noonan
Coleen has a love of art and many years of experience in crafting, interior design, decorating, and party planning. She holds a Bachelor of Science with a minor in Fine Art from Salve Regina University in Newport, Rhode Island. Over the last 21 years, Coleen has held the most challenging and rewarding position as a mother to her six children and CEO of her home. Over the years, she has spent her spare time volunteering at all her children’s schools for fundraising events and at many local non-profit organizations within the community, taking on important roles such as chairperson and event planning coordinator. Coleen also teaches catechism to children at her church. She enjoys her workouts, being outdoors, and, most of all, spending time with her husband Bill, their children, extended family, many friends, and their two pups, Arrow and Sadie. After experiencing a Board & Brush workshop with her sister-in-law, Melanie Gleeson, Coleen realized Board & Brush was a great opportunity to do something she has had a passion for: meeting new people and crafting.
Melanie was invited to her first Board & Brush workshop in Monroe, Connecticut in 2017. Needless to say, four workshops and a birthday party later, not to mention a move from Connecticut to Massachusetts, and, voila, she is opening a Board & Brush with her sister-in-law, Coleen Noonan, in Norwell, MA! In addition to this endeavor and for the past nineteen years, she has worked for several companies managing their accounting and finance functions. Melanie holds a Bachelors of Business Administration from Western Connecticut State University in Danbury, Connecticut and a Masters in Business Management from Albertus Magnus College in New Haven, Connecticut. She is married to a very supporting husband, Devin, and is the proud mom of two spunky girls, Maeve and Regan, and a loving puppy, Cooper. Her entire family has taken workshops at Board & Brush and can attest to how much fun and rewarding the experience is. In her spare time, Melanie enjoys spending time with her family and friends, bargain shopping, and reading just about anything.
Coleen and Melanie are thrilled to be partnering and embarking on this exciting journey together as co-owners of Board & Brush in Norwell, MA. They are over-the-moon excited for this opportunity and are looking forward to sharing the Board & Brush experience with the South Shore!

Board & Brush Norwell, MA is located off of Exit 14 on Route 3 South near Persimmons Gift Shop, Salon Sorella Hair Salon, and Sophia Nail Spa. We are adjacent to the Fours Bar & Grill, which is a fabulous spot to gather with friends, grab drinks, and delicious appetizers and/or dinner before or after your experience at our studio.
